Blind embossing uses a metal die to punch raw, unprinted box stock upward—no ink, no foil, just clean raised paperboard. Inked embossing registers the die over your printed artwork, giving flat logos physical height you can feel.

Can you combine embossing with foil stamping or spot UV?

Yes. A heated combination die stamps metallic foil and raises the paperboard in one press pass. You can also press dies over cured spot UV, creating a slick gloss lift against flat matte panels.

Will embossing flatten out when boxes are stacked?

No. Tonnage pressure permanently bends the internal wood fibers during the stamping run. Once formed, those raised contours hold their shape under pallet loads, transit vibration, and shelf handling.
